One morning after a sleepless long night of tag teaming a screaming hungry I have a wet diaper wants to be snuggled baby ; I woke up with a pacifier digging into my cheek, a webkinz (our eldest's toys) deep into our bed sheets, burp rags hanging off our bed posts, a snoring dog at the end of the bed, and a quiet deep asleep baby in the middle of the bed. I've come to realize, Parenthood has arrived and like that, any sort of privacy is GONE. Of course, with snickerdoodle around you would think we be used to it. Well we only have her half the time and its been 8 years since I changed a diaper and lulled her asleep. Though its like getting back on a bike again the sleepless nights are still pretty rough to handle. (For Example my husband has enough bags and shadows that even the most elite makeup team couldn't hide)
BUT LOOK AT THOSE CUTE LITTLE TOES!!! I just want to gobble them.
Snickerdoodle has became the proud, possessive, little mother, big sister I can ever imagine its crazy! Its to the point where I'm being told that I'm holding the bottle wrong from her! None the less at one month old. Goober whom I'm seem to be calling "churro" these days is already annoying here. VIVA la little sisters!
Mr. Peabody, our fearless dog, has already accepted this new pink puppy but this time without the youthful puppy eagerness like he had shown with snickerdoodle. Instead he has accepted her into his pack, sniffs on her to make sure shes cooing and knows that soon as she starts crying like a banshee soon mom and dad will be there to pick her up.
For the past month its been a little hectic. First family was here helping us with housework, cooking, driving, and getting into the swing of things with a newborn. Now summer has begun and school is out. We now have snickerdoodle full time and yay yet another ball to juggle. I personally love and as big daddy mentioned as he is crying with exhaustion, that its possibly the best thing that has happened to us yes, we're still waiting for that lotto win. Still it's a full house, full time, full complete madness. From sleep deprived, masters of cold dinner, late night rocking and snuggling, slip and slide, barbie playing, easy bake oven parents we've just entered in the Parent Zone.
So yet, I bid you all a goodnight and sleep well. May those who have quiet bedrooms, privacy as you take showers or go to the bathroom, count your blessings. We're kinda jealous yet we like it just how it is now.
