Fall is here and here I type!I sit here trying to desperately come off this sugar high induced trance of Halloween I type away at the keyboard with the very same energy that you can compare to some crazed manic who hit every house in the block, keeping up with a 8 3/4 boba fett and making sure her little 18 month old Ewok keeps up, while her husband snaps happily at the camera trying to capture the perfect moment. The perfect moment is when both girls actually sit still long enough for a picture with both their costumes on, completely. Did it happen? Errrrmmm...not really, but Big Daddy deserves a A+ for serious effort.
Time for the quick update...
As usual the season starts off with Snickerdoodles very awesome attempt of playing soccer (aka doing everything possible to avoid actually kicking the ball and ducking when it does come her way), It's not her sport but meh, we're there every Saturday (unless she's sick) and cheer on the Purple People Eaters!
Pumpkin patching this year was pretty fun. We had a bigger turnout this year thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Davis joining us, Aunt Christina and little Sean, and Uncle Travis's GF Kristina and her mom. We hit Maris farms this year, same location that held the Renaissance Faire,Not a bad place, but it was like Disneyland for Pumpkins. Pig Races, Face Painting, Train Rides, Goats on Catwalks, and the mother of all corn mazes. The first part was deceivingly easy that was quickly followed by getting lost in biggest part ofthe corn maze. Next year, Christina and I have decided that a GPS, a Scooter and Flare guns are in order if we hit that maze with two kids who decided that several loops and false turns made the maze not so much fun. However, Kudos to the pumpkins. AWESOME! The best we ever had, and Thanks to Grandpa John for spotting the bill, AGAIN. We do love you, but we don't exactly invite you just so you can buy our pumpkins! We invite you because we love you.
and of course, Halloween and Star Wars. What do these two items have in common? Easy, when the oldest goes a the bounty hunter Boba Fett and the youngest a fuzzy Ewok. Super cute, unfortunately not a single shot together in one piece. Chunky Monkey refused to keep the ears on longer than 4 seconds and the oldest just wanted CANDY!!! Big Daddy got to go with us this year and he was wickedly excited and I wore my running shoes to keep up with Snickerdoodle. House gets A++ this year as quoted by the trick or treaters, the spooky house with cool jack o lanterns and spooky eyes in the windows.
Sugar high is done and for now. So am I.
